I’ve talked about my love for T3 dryers many, many times before (I did a quick search on Style Chicks and found two pages of articles in which we’ve mentioned this magical line of dryer.) In March my beloved Featherweight konked out (I got a lot of use out of that one), so I decided to replace with the current top of the T3 line, the T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i.
I love, love, love it.
About T3 Featherweight Luxe 2i
The marketing writeup says it dries hair 7 times faster. They don’t say faster than what, but once I tried it, I was a believer. The outer shaft dries crazy fast, the cuticle retains moisture. Fantastic.
There are three settings for both heat and speed. The highest speed setting is like a wind tunnel – my joke with my sister Lyn is that if one of us is using it, the other one just needs to stand in the general proximity to get a decent rough dry (I didn’t say it was funny, just said it was our joke.) I try to use low heat whenever possible, but when I’m in a rush I use the highest heat setting, and I have to say, my hair is no worse for wear than if I used the low heat setting. The speed of drying really helps to minimize damage.
The Diffuser
And it leaves my hair soooooo soft and bouncy. I purchased the diffuser separately as the diffuser that I used with my last T3 does not fit this model, which is a shame. But $30 added for the diffuser isn’t a terrible price for soft, bouncy, super shiny curls. I’ve been using Oscar Blandi Glossing Cream as my styling product lately and the curls last all day, defined and glossy. It’s a good combination.
A great brush comes in the package but I haven’t really used it, nor have I used the concentrator consistently. The times I have used the concentrator on my roots produced fantastic volume – I should really use it more.
Now there is the price. A MSR of $250 is steep as an initial outlay. It is also ridiculously inexpensive when it comes down to the price per use (T3 dryers last forever), and the drying time it saves you. For those reasons, I consider this a steal.
Find it at Beauty.com for $250. Go get it now. I mean it. It is awesome. 🙂
