This cooling blanket uses a special fabric combination that is cool and dry to the touch.
Why Use a Cooling Blanket
Restful sleep requires being cool enough to sleep comfortably.
Being too warm or too cool interferes with quality sleep. Most people sleep best with adequate air circulation and when the room is about 65° F. But we can’t always control these factors.
A cooling blanket gives just enough coverage while keeping you cool enough to get comfortable. This Elegear blanket uses a special fabric designed to keep you cool.
The Science of Sleeping Cool
This fabric feels cool against the skin because it uses special Japanese Q-Max 0.4 Cooling Fibers to absorb body heat.
Japanese Cooling Technology Fabric
The cooling property is measured by Q-Max. This blanket is Q-Max 0.4. Regular fiber is 0.2.
Q-max value is used to evaluate whether the skin feels cool or warm when touching or using the fabric. Higher numbers transfer body heat faster. The higher the number, the cooler the fabric feels.
Most bedding is 0.2 / cm. The primary fabric in the blanket is greater than 0.4 / cm.
Jade Masterbatch
Jade stays cool to the touch even when the skin is hot
Jade Masterbatch is blended with the Mica fabric. You cannot see or feel the Jade within the fabric. These Jade particles enhance the cool feeling against the skin.
Like a Jade Skin Roller or Gua Sha tool, the Jade in Jade Masterbatch fabric stays cool when in contact with the skin.
TIP: Place this blanket by an air conditioner before bed to chill it, and the Jade Masterbatch in the blanket will stay cool!
Mica fabric
Mica fabric particle size and particle size distribution give the fabric superior cooling properties.
Mica nylon and PE cold-sensing fiber together give the fabric a cool feeling to the touch.

The Experience

For an extra bit of cooling, I like to place the blanket in front of the air conditioner for 20 minutes before bed. The special fabric retains the extra cool temperatures!
