Simmondsia Chinesis is Jojoba Seed Oil.

Jojoba is soothing to the skin and softens wrinkles. Jojoba oil is an emollient, made of 98% monounsaturated fats.

Olive fatty acids deeply hydrate

Cetearyl Olivate is the fatty acid of Olives combined with a Cetearyl alcohol ester. A very safe ingredient that emulsifies active ingredients together within a moisturizer. It is a natural alternative to PEG.

Cetearyl attracts and binds moisture. Cetearyl alcohol is one of the good alcohols that soften, soothe and heal dry skin. It is an emollient.

Olive fatty acids contains Omegas 3 and 6, and polyphenols. Polyphenols are antioxidants that protect skin cells from oxidative damage.

Within a formulation it is not greasy like olive oil but retains the benefits.

The olive fatty acids give deep hydration, smooth skin and give the product a silky texture.

Sorbitan Olivate

A combination of fatty acids from Olive Oil plus an ester of sugar. Olive Oil fatty acid contains the highly emollient squalene. It also contains oleic and palmitic acids.

It contains Linoleic acid which has an anti-inflammatory effect. It hydrates skin to help stop wrinkle formation.

Olive fatty acids within a product base, such as this one, is superior because it gives olive benefits without the greasiness. It gives a product slip without being greasy or clogging pores.

Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter

Mango

A highly emoillent It’s rich in oleic acid (an omega-9 acid); and the saturated fatty acid stearic acid.

These moisturize, tighten, plump and firm the skin. It provides long-lasting moisture.

Mango is also rich in A & C to refine the skin.

CITRUS Grandis

Citrus Grandis, commonly known as Grapefruit Peel Oil, is high in collagen-producing Vitamin C.

It has antibacterial benefits and studies show it reduces acne.[10]

As with other citrus oils, it is an antioxidant with an uplifting scent.

Glycerin attracts moisture

Glycerin

Vegetable-based Glycerin is a natural, non-toxic, vegan-friendly humectant.

It attracts and retains water in the skin while supporting other active ingredients. It fills in gaps in dryer skin which makes skin look better and keeps the outer layer of the skin intact.

Coconut Oil

A fraction of coconut or palm oil fatty acids combined with glycerin. It gives a product a rich feel and creates a silky appearance when applied to the skin. Caprylic/capric triglyceride creates a barrier on the skin’s surface to reduce moisture loss and address dryness. [11] It can make greasy ingredients leave a non-greasy finish. A gentle ingredient.

Tocopherol

A protective antioxidant that lessens discoloration. Tocopherol makes damaged skin soft and pliable again while reducing wrinkle and fine line formation.

An impressive line-up, isn’t it? But even great ingredients can underperform if they are chemically processed. Le Vesque uses no chemicals and a clean harvesting method: CO2 extraction.

CLEAN CBD & CO2 EXTRACTION

The CBD in this formulation is harvested by CO2 Extraction. CO2 Extraction is a green technology which retains all the natural properties while eliminating any heavy metals and pesticides. CO2 Extraction doesn’t pollute the environment.

The Experience

Le Vesque CBD Luxe Body Lotion is a soothing treatment. It is an excellent skin hydrator, hand lotion, and cuticle fixer, especially after hand washing. It treats my dry feet and parched elbows, and rough knees. It leaves my shoulders soft and supple.

It leaves my skin smooth, plump, and luminous with no greasy feel.

Just a tiny dollop of the creamy lotion is all that is needed.

The scent is a natural leafy scent with grapefruit overtones. No hempy odor.

The dry-down is not waxy, gritty, greasy or oily.

Coconut Oil

An antioxidant naturally present in the skin but decreased with sun exposure. COQ10 is common as a topical and supplemental vitamin in skincare to improve skin texture and Elastin production.

Coffea Arabica Seed Oil

Coffea Arabica Seed Oil is organic unrefined green coffee seed oil. The cold-press extraction yields higher levels of caffeine, Vitamins E and F. Together they smooth skin, combat dark spots, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation. They even address darkness under the eye.

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps to defend the skin against free radicals. Free radicals accelerate skin aging and sagging, and moisture loss.

Vitamin F is linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is an omega 6 essential fatty acid essential for healthy cell function. Linoleic acid heals, moisturizes, tightens, and smooths the skin while reducing inflammation.

Caffeic acid (caffeine) reduces eye area puffiness by drawing out excess water. Caffeine and essential fatty acids build collagen and elastin around the eye area.

Collagen: Collagen is the protein building blocks of skin, a supporting scaffold structure. Collagen is about 80% of our skin, it gives skin firmness and strength. Over time collagen breaks down, but select ingredients promote new collagen production. Collagen staves off wrinkles, discoloration, dull skin, and facial sagging. More collagen means fewer wrinkles, less sagging, and fewer dark spots or acne scars.

Colloidal Oatmeal

Colloidal Oatmeal is finely ground oat grain. It is an emollient and FDA classified as a skin protectant. It blocks an inflammatory response on the skin, which stops redness and itching.

Colloidal oatmeal contains a polyphenolic antioxidant highly effective on eczema and other forms of atopic dermatitis to halt inflammation and itching. ^[1]

Comedones: Comedones include blackheads, whiteheads, and non-inflamed blemishes. Comedones generally don’t respond well to topical medications alone but AHAs and sonic cleaning devices are often effective.

Comedogenic: An ingredient or product that increases the accumulation of dead cells within the follicles when applied to the skin, causing clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads and acne.

Comedogenicity: Comedogenicity is how likely it is that an ingredient will cause clogged pores, blackheads or whiteheads.

Comfrey

Comfrey is used for the topical treatment of inflammation and swelling ^[2]

Copper: Copper is available in a supplement and in skin creams and serums. Copper promotes collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid production. Few skin products build Elastin like copper. Elastin is a necessary part of younger, resilient skin with less sagging. Copper is also used in hair supplements. It increases the size of shrunken hair follicles, stops thinning and premature graying. For best skincare results, Copper should be paired with supporting ingredients. Cranberry Seed Oil

Cranberry oil is an antioxidant that protects the lipid barrier. It contains a high fatty acid profile with Omegas 3, 6, and 9. High in Vitamins and E, it tackles age spots and promotes skin elasticity.

Cranberry Seed Oil is also known as Vacinnium macrocarpon.

Crosspolymer Hyaluronic Acid: Crosspolymer Hyaluronic Acid is a modified form of hyaluronic acid attached to a polymer structure that keeps it within the skin’s uppermost layers longer. ^[4] This creates an enhanced hydration effect. Not animal-derived.

Cream Tartar: Cream Tartar is a natural remedy for adult acne.

Crow’s Feet: An early sign of aging. The fine lines found around the outer corners of the eyes, caused by muscles attached to eye area skin.

Cucumber

Cucumber: Cucumber is soothing and reduces swelling. And it feels wonderful on tired peepers. Cucumber has a high water content that hydrates the skin. It also contains skin-friendly vitamin K, vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, manganese and vitamin A. Vitamin K reduces dark circles by reducing tiny blood vessels that may leak and cause a blue, brown or purple tone to the undereye.

The Experience

I love natural lipstick but I am frequently disappointed with shade selection and texture.

Many clean and natural lip cosmetics are, in our opinion, overly brown or yellow-based hues. These muted shades are lovely on redheads and warmer skin tones, but they don’t work as well with fairer or pink-based undertones. At least not for us.

Natural ingredient lipsticks also tend to be very waxy and dry or overly soft and runny. I require high performance and definition.

So we were delighted to discover Madame Gabriela Beauty has mastered high performance, clean lippies in cooler tones with impressive color payout.

And these lipsticks have such a smooth, silky finish.

We were particularly impressed with these lipsticks using ONLY ingredients that are clean and safe but are cleverly formulated so that there are no compromises in quality. The texture is excellent.

Madame Gabriela New York at 1 PM is a cheery blue base pink.

A classic wearable pink is hard to find. I am always attracted to pink lipsticks, but rarely find the shade I like on my lips.

This shade has color payout without appearing too garish. It is not Shocking Schiaparelli pink, but it is not ballerina bare or teenage bubble gum either. Polished and glam like its’ namesake. Madame Gabriela New York at 1 PM is a bright cheery pink perfect for spring and summer.

Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil*

Organic Avocado Oil is 72% monounsaturated fatty acids. This is higher than Coconut or Grapeseed oils. Avocado Oil mixes with water better than other oils. Avocado oil decreases dryness and improves skin texture. Rich in Omegas 3 and 6, Vitamins C,D, and E, Avocado Oil promotes scar healing and collagen production.[1]

Consistency

There is a heavier feel to oil out of the dropper, yet feels lightweight on the skin. It absorbs quickly without being sticky or leaving a greasy residue. It leaves a lovely, natural glow on my skin.

There is absolutely no irritation or breakouts from this oil. It is effective for restoring skin after a peel or excess sun exposure.

The oil has a clear, crisp light golden tone with no clouding.

It feels like a decadent treat but is suitable for daily use

Application & Use

Apply after cleansing on slightly damp skin. Just four to six drops moisturized my entire face and throat. Gently massage and press the oil into face, throat, and décolletage etage. Skin looks dewy snd hydrated.

I love using this oil after an evening facial steam! I love using this oil with my jade roller to encourage the absorption of every last drop.

Sunscreen and makeup do not pill on top of this oil.

Scent

Very mild to no discernible scent within the bottle. Slightly natural and leafy, a bit citrusy. I cannot detect any scent on the dry down.

This rich, thick cream absorbs quickly without leaving any oily residue. Massaging in one or two pumps worth of cream covers a surprising amount of skin.

Skin is nourished, soft and looks younger with a healthy, hydrated glow. Even skin on areas like elbows looks younger, not just softer.

A lovely Valencia orange scent that I personally enjoy as the lightest of fragrance. Once it dries down, one has the lean in to detect the lingering notes of orange and grapefruit. I prefer unscented lotions but this is my exception. Subtle enough for even wearing at the office.
