The vintage design backpack comes in three versatile colors: gray, black and blue. We chose the blue, it is vibrant but still professional looking and compliments many outfits. The gray is an attractive charcoal that is suitable for either gender.

I especially like that the Explorer Vintage Laptop Backpack by Yonder Bags is a laptop case that doesn’t really look like a laptop case. Carrying a laptop with work product around campus or to clients is an expensive but necessary risk, so I like that this backpack carries my laptop so discretely.
SIZE
The dimensions are roomy but slimline at 11.4″L x 15.7″H x 4.7″W . Not too bulky or cumbersome, but big enough to hold all your supplies for going to class such as a laptop, textbook, moleskin notepad, pen, pencils, or materials for a presentation.

It is also a useful size for an artist to carry sketching materials such as a paper sketch pad or drawing tablet, pencils, charcoals, brushes, etc. The internal padded pockets keep all supplies and tablets safe and secure.
CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS
The was no loose stitching, the zipper and pull are sturdy and didn’t stick. The fabric is attractive but is strong enough to hold my gear, the straps are comfortable. The magnetic closures stay closed until I deliberately opened them.

TESTING OUT THE BACKPACK
I found the straps to be comfortable and to distribute the weight of the contents of my bag easily so that it did not feel too heavy on my shoulders or back. Not as large as a camping or weekend backpack, the backpack is just large enough to carry what I would need for a class or to carry my laptop and some supplies, so it is streamlined and easy to transport what I need. About the size of an oversized bag, the Explorer backpack kept my laptop and Kindle safely in place with no scratches or damage while I walked around campus. The magnetic snap closures are a nice perk, as I know my bag stays closed and the contents are safe. The shoulder straps are wide, so they distribute weight evenly which is a nice feature. If you attend a college where the campus is spread out across several blocks and much of your daily commute requires walking in a busy city, this bag can make you feel secure about carrying your expensive electronic equipment discretely.
