The weather is crazy here in New England this year: the days are warm but the nights are so chilly! That is why I love my new Sedona House Faux Fur Throw Blanket.
I have heard good things about the Sedona House line. So I was excited to try their Faux Fur Throw Blanket to keep me warm at night, or snuggling up on a lazy weekend!

PRESENTATION
The throw blanket comes neatly wrapped and folded. Inside the packaging, it’s secured until use with criss-cross band wide strap. The outer packaging is a thick, durable clear plastic casing that is sturdy enough to keep and use for summer storage. It is an amazing gift! It would be fantastic for college students, or as a housewarming gift. It would be a very welcome get-well gift!
DESIGN
The blanket has two soft, luxurious sides. One side is sumptuous and beautiful faux fur. The other side is an exquisitely silky microfiber that feels so good against your skin.
The faux fur side comes in four patterns. They are “Coffee Stripe”, “Grey Leopard”, “Grey Stripe”, and “Sand Leopard”.
The Sand Leopard is an animal print pattern faux fur. The reverse side is silky microfiber. It is a versatile solid pale tan/deep champagne shade on the reverse side. The seams are nicely done, so it can be reversibly displayed depending on your mood. I like how it looks with fall color palette bedding.

The Grey Stripe is a pale grey and soft white striped pattern, suitable for cooler tone bedding or decor. The coffee stripe works with neutral and warmer tones.

QUALITY AND CONSTRUCTION
The fur doesn’t shed at all, which can be a problem with lesser quality faux fur blankets. But the fur stays in place, which is impressive and shows the high quality of the item.
The stitching is intact and attractive. The blanket is well-made. It also comes with a no questions asked guarantee and warranty.
The blanket is hypoallergenic, ideal for those with sensitivities.

USE

FEEL
The blanket is substantial but not heavy. It’s so luxurious! The faux fur is not at all scratchy like cheap faux fur throws, it feels exceptionally soft.

It’s easy to care for. Just machine wash on cold and air dry. It is made with shrink-resistant fabric. It is just as soft after a few washes. There is no post-laundering shedding, color fading, or loose stitching.

This particular Sedona Home piece comes in one size, a generous 50 by 60 inches. This happens to fit across full and queen beds as a topper, but it is really a throw blanket. On a King bed, it still works as an accent piece, or if one person prefers more blankets than the other.

I would say it is warm enough alone or added to your summer bedding during fall or while it is still lightweight jacket or “sweater weatherâ€. But it would not be your only covering in the coldest Virginia months like January. A bit of research shows January averages 27 degrees F, so this throw blanket would be perfect for that extra bit of warmth at night or for keeping warm on the sofa while watching TV. Hope this helps!

Good question, Alana. While not marketed as reversible, the stitching is attractive, so if you cut off the care instructions tag, you could display either side up. The faux fur is not scratchy against the skin, so the reverse works if you wish.
